The Aponte is produced by ~200 smallholders from the Aponte Indigenous Reserve - a community that belongs to the Inga people, a pre-Colombian ethnic group related to the Incas.
The region was once unsafe and economically dependent on illegal crops… Over the past decades, the community shifted back to traditional agriculture and specialty coffee.
Today Aponte is internationally recognized for quality and traceability.
Process – After the skin is mechanically removed, mucilage partially retained. It dries slowly on raised beds over two weeks. Low humidity and cool temperatures allow slow, controlled fermentation. This results in increased sweetness and layered fruit expression.
Cup Profile:
Fruit-forward, sweet, delicate yet structured.
A refined expression of natural-style fruit notes with the clarity of a washed coffee.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
To keep your coffee beans fresh and flavorful for longer, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat. Always reseal the bag tightly after each use to preserve their aroma and taste. If the bag cannot be properly closed for any reason, consider transferring the coffee to another airtight container or sealed bag. Avoid storing coffee beans in the refrigerator, as the high humidity can affect their quality. For any questions, you can always contact us — we’re happy to help!
